What We Do

We are dedicated to driving transformation where clean energy is the norm

TerraVolta aims to build a strong, reliable supply chain that supports the growth of the energy sector and the creation of a greener economy. Our commitment is to deliver high-quality lithium that empowers the development of clean energy solutions, promotes the transition towards electric mobility, and fosters innovation in diverse industries.

Our Capabilities

Exploration
We employ advanced reservoir, geologic, and hydrogeologic technologies to identify potential lithium-rich formations and sources throughout the United States.  Following rigorous on-site and off-site testing to confirm the resource, each area of interest is delineated.
Mineral Rights Acquisitions
Once a potential lithium source area is identified, our team initiates the process of acquiring mineral rights. This involves negotiations with land and mineral owners, conducting thorough diligence and ensuring all regulatory requirements are met. We work closely with local communities and stakeholders to secure these rights responsibly and ethically.
Production of Brine Wells for Mineral Extraction
Once mineral rights are acquired, our highly experienced team of engineers drill and complete wells in these lithium-rich deposits. Through these wells, we pump the brine to the surface.
Lithium Extraction
We treat the brine and extract lithium through a complex, stepwise process of removing unwanted characteristics and then purifying and extracting the lithium in a flow-through process.
Battery Grade Conversion
We then flow the purified lithium solution through a process that converts it into battery-grade lithium carbonate or hydroxide and precipitate that final product out of solution as a solid.
Purification and Drying
The precipitated lithium carbonate or hydroxide is collected through a filtration process. Once filtered, the product is thoroughly dried and readied for the next stage.
Final Product
The dried lithium carbonate or hydroxide undergoes further processing, resulting in the final battery grade lithium product. This high-quality product is ready to power a multitude of applications, from electric vehicle batteries to energy storage systems.
